Algonkian is an 18-hole course that opened in 1962 and is owned and operated by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. This is a somewhat smallish site for a course, so architect Ed Ault resorted to parallel fairways throughout much of the course. No practice range is here, although separate putting and chipping greens are available.
The standard walking rates are $33 Mondays through Thursdays, and $46 on Fridays, weekends and holidays (carts are $16). Shoulder-season, 9-hole, senior, and twilight rates are available, as are season passes.

The course is right in front of you. It's maintained fairly well, and the scenery is great with all the wildlife. Biggest issue is that there always seems to be bugs, bugs and more bugs.

Always a nice regional course to play. Years ago it was the old "PEPCO" power company course for employee's. Started raining at the third hole so only got in a sloppy 9 holes.
