Stevinson Ranch Golf Club (CLOSING)
2700 Van Clief Rd
Stevinson, CA 95374-9619, United States

209.664.6456
Sadly, Stevinson Ranch Golf Club will close in July of 2015, a victim of the ongoing California drought, severe water-use restrictions, and the ongoing American recession. Once ranked by GolfWorld as the fifth-best public course in the nation, this attractive course was designed between the late architect John Harbottle III and the Australian golfer George H. Kelley.

Very interesting course. "Links-like", carved out of cow-fields. Very good greens, mostly kept up, lots of 'heather'. Best course in the mid-central-valley area (Turlock, Modesto, Patterson, Oakdale).

A very challenging course. Leaving the fairway almost a guaranteed bogey (or worse). Greens are in great shape. Fast, but they hold. A true gem in the San Joaquin valley.

Greens were in real bad shape waste of time and money never again.

Played 36 holes in a greenskeeper.org tournament last weekend. Without doubt the best hospitality and a very challenging course too.

This is a gem in the middle of nowhere that you have to play.
