Pine Lakes Country Club
5603 Granddaddy Dr
Myrtle Beach, SC 29577-2281, United States

843.315.7700
This course opened in 1927 with a design by Scotland-born Robert White, who was the first president of the PGA of America; the course installed a plaque in his honor at the first tee-box that calls White the "Father of Grand Strand Golf." In recent years, architect Craig Schreiner oversaw a redewsign / restoration of the course.

As with some old-school courses, the greens are small, while the other challenges include the 446-yard 3rd hole, where water intrudes into the middle of the fairway.

The club's toll-free telephone number is 866-772-4669.

This is the second time I have played this course and don't remember it being this long before. Maybe because I was younger at the time. Par 4's are long and hard to reach in 2 from the Senior Tees. Not used to using a 3 or 5 wood on the second shot to reach the greens. However, it is still one of my top courses in MB. The staff were very friendly and were happy to have you play their course. I will play this course again and definitely recommend it to others. Location of the course is great less than 2 miles from our hotel.

Long par fours for my game no chance to reach in two but very nice course to play.

This course advertises itself as the "granddaddy" which to me says "old and stuffy". not at all what this course is. Great staff, nicely stocked pro shop, great tavern and good food. I would go back in a minute.

Good course. Right in the middle of Myrtle Beach. Good layout. This is the original course in Myrtle Beach.

new layout was very pleasant, missed the mimosa on that par 3. Wish I played better golf.

There just are not enough words to describe this course. Played it in Mid March 2013 and it was in great shape. It is in my top 3 courses in MB and is a must play. Found it to be in better shape than the TPC course. Fansastic greens.

Nice course, great staff.

Course is in outstanding condition. Everything is well manicured. Greens were receptive and deceptively fast. Only drawback is they do not have a driving range to warm up on. Would have given 5 stars if they had a driving range.
