Sharpstown Park Golf Course
6600 Harbor Town Dr
Houston, TX 77036, United States

Welcome to Houston's “Best Golfing Value." Sharpstown Golf Course has earned this reputation by providing outstanding customer service and excellent facility conditions, while offering some of the lowest fees in
the gulf coast area.

Recent improvements at Sharpstown include new cart paths, improved drainage, and reconstructed bunkers, tees and lakes. A new fleet of electric golf cars also arrived in late 2003. The 18 hole, par 70 course has implemented four (4) sets of tees, allowing moderate degree of difficulty for the novice and beginner, yet enough length (6660 from the back tees) to test the avid and skilled player.

Having grown up in the neighborhood, I've always been a fan of Sharpstown. This past fall they replaced all of the greens to really improve the course. This isn't much of a challenge, but does afford the opportunity to work on your game in a friendly environment, and you can't beat the price.

Nice spot to go to if you want something simple to work on fundamentals and get out the house.

$18 to walk, in good condition with smooth greens. Biggest defense is distance. From tips at par 70; 8 of the 10 par 4's are 400+ and all 4 of 5 of the par 3's are 175+.

Greens are the most critical component of a golf course and the greens here are filled with tiny pot holes and every putt is a hold on to your pants and hope the bumpy ride finds luck and the hole. But, it seems always busy, I guess beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.

Great Value, history course, par 70, play from the blues, challenging layout, I use it instead of a practice range sometime. Always in great shape for a muni. Classy pro shop, better than my home course Quail Valley.
