Legends at Parris Island, The
299 Belleau Wood Rd
MCRD Parris Island, SC 29905, United States

843.228.2240
Although the course dates to 1947 and a design by Fred Findley and George Cobb, it was heavily renovated in 1999 with a new design by Clyde Johnston. The new layout features many live oak trees covered in Spanish moss. Upon opening in 2000, some critics judged this one of the ten best military courses in the world.

Tee-times are available up to seven days in advance for authorized patrons including active-duty and retired military, DoD, and NAFI. You won't be seeing any actual USMC recruits playing the course, though. :)

Civilians who can legally access MCRD Parris Island can reserve tee-times up to three days in advance via telephone (843-228-2240). Civilians *must* have a tee-time in order to come aboard Parris Island.

Absolutely amazing course. First time out to this course and it gave me a whoopin'. Beautifully laid out course with excellent pin locations which made each hole difficult.

Multiple tees allows fun for all skill levels. Ample room fairways and greens, but pin placement is key ball placement to score low. Minor imperfections fairways and greens, but will not hamper play. No rush pace. Greens rock hard making them fast as lighting. Ball hits and rolls. Try and make a ball mark on these greens if you can! Must put pro type back spin on ball to make it stick. Many beautiful views of marsh and wetlands. Love sunset view of hole #13.
