This heavily-wooded parkland-style course opened in 1946 with a design by John Bredemus, who co-founded the Texas section of the PGA of America and helped start the PGA Tour's Texas Open. The course plays along the Cayo de Oso watershed, so many water hazards are in play, particularly on the second nine.
