Not a bad course for a Muni. However layout was not clear and the fairways were not in the best shape when i went 10/3/14

The course is fairly open with lots of dogleg holes. Trees aren't that mature, so they rarely get in the way. There are some interesting holes and it's quite walkable.

this rating was for a weekday twilight after 4pm with a cart. we had tried to get on 3 other places and when we called they were open and ready.. so I thought the cart would get us around quicker. the course played very well as there was small breeze and few players out there.. the sand was baked in, like it had been water and crusted over and not raked out, luckily I didn't sample it, my partner however tested them for me...lol the only thing that was kinda bad was the goose crap.. lots and lots near the greens, its cool seeing honkers around the bay area but those boys can crap up a storm... we didn't catch anyone till like the 12th hole and got by them so that was good. the clubhouse there is very nice and the snacks like calamari was excellent. they have a great chip and putt area with lots of undulations and a great driving range... the wind can blow if the fog is in in sf. and the play on weekends can be slow too, but for getting out after like 2/3pm its a great deal and play is quicker... walking has only one hill in the front nine which isn't bad and the rest is flat... the layout is interesting and bad shots can be found and played without much problem... they have a world class tennis facility there too so if your wife plays or want to just hang out theres stuff to watch and the clubhouse is huge. across the street is the 49ers practice area too which you can see if your a fan...lol
