FROM THE COURSE WEB SITE:
San Dimas Canyon is a true foothill golf course located at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. San Dimas Canyon Golf Course offers a unique experience for the golfer in the LA area, as it is one of a few courses that delivers a true "get away from it all experience."

San Dimas Canyon Golf Course is an 18 hole facility open to the public 365 days a year. At 6,400 yards San Dimas Canyon Golf Course offers a challenge to players of all skill levels. The golf course consists of five par 3's (3 of which play over 200 yards) and five par 5's that are reachable in 2 shots, but don't let this fool you, as there is a large amount of risk vs reward associated with these holes. Water hazards come into play on 4 holes with out of bounds opportunties present on 10 of the 18 holes.

This course is okay, ho-hum layout, not as scenic as Marshall. I've always had the impression that this course thinks it's better than it is, because it has a couple of fancy trappings- cart GPS (and no yardage markers) and a fountain in the water hazard. It's nothing special.

Great value in California, but not much to create an exceptional experience.

This is the first time I have played this course. What you see is what you get. It is a fair course. There was a one club wind in the afternoon. The course is in great shape and the greens probably run about 10 to 12. I will be back to play again.....
