This Charles Akey design opened in 1962 just outside Fort Worth and features century-old pecan and oak trees lining the fairways. The back tees were designed to require length and accuracy off the tee, while the forward tees were designed to accommodate higher-handicap players. Among the notables seen here over the years were Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan on the day the course opened, as well as Lee Trevino currently.
In recent years, the club has hosted qualifying for three USGA amateur championships and the 2008 Texas Mid-Am.
