Rusted Rail Golf Club
1602 E. Hwy 175
Crandall, TX 75114-0099, United States

972.472.5148
Previously known as Creekview Golf Club, Rusted Rail is popular with both local residents and hard-core golfing enthusiasts from Dallas. Being the smallest town in Texas to own a public golf course, Golf Digest has 'dubbed' Crandall as "Golftown, USA".

The 210-acre golf course opened in 1995, was promptly named a finalist among 1996 "18 Best Bent Grass Greens in North America". The lush course takes its design cue from the surrounding countryside, featuring plush, undulating and picturesque paths winding through groves of oaks, pecans and cottonwoods.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The greens had an issue as they were mostly sand, but I believe that was the result of the harsh winter freezing that they suffered. They did roll ok even though they were mostly sand, and controlling the distance of the putts was made difficult by their condition. I very much enjoyed my visit there and will return again.

saying it's a goat ranch would be cruel to goats.

An amazing course. Extremely challenging but still fun. It's a bit of a drive but definitely worth it. A must play next time. A tournament was scheduled just after our tee time which caused lots of delays, but in spite of that we really want to go back

Fairways are bumpy but had grass. The greens were nice. The course is cheap so you cannot expect plush conditions. The sand bunkers were pretty much unplayable. I think they should just fill them in if they cannot maintain them. Overall it was worth about what we paid, we did not pay a lot.
