Both courses here are owned and operated by the City of Amarillo. The Tomahawk Course was the first one to open here in July 1990 with a design by Charles Howard, while the Arrowhead Course (Bob Cupp) debuted in May of 1999.

The course condition always depends on our rain gage for the year, but this year we have had zero rain and the course has been way better than expected, the pace of play is always slow but thats weekend golf, my only complaint is to the city of Amarillo, let them have a beer cart, Amarillo has to be the only city in America that doesn't allow a snack cart "because of insurance/liability issues"... what ever... Canyon has one, Hereford has one, and they are smaller towns and cheaper courses,
