This course is in great shape. Can't give it a 5 with the TPC less than 10 miles away, but good course for the $. When dry (and it mostly is) there are no cart path only holes, besides the norm on all par 3's.

Unique hill country setting. Narrow tree-lined fairways. Accuracy is a must. Scenery is beautiful, especially #10 tee shot. Greens are usually below average. Worth trying at least once.

Great layout with marginal course conditions the times I have been there. Would like to see the place when the superintendant thinks the place is at its peak. Staff goes out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

If, like me, you have bad knees; you play it, enjoy it and then are laid up for a couple of days. Lots of hills making for some difficult strains on the knees- uphill, downhill, ball below feet, and ball above feet. Some holes are cart path only. Once again, if you have bad knees, you will feel it later that evening or the next day.
