Designed by Houston-based architect Joe Finger, this course opened in 1974 on 200 acres adjacent to Moses Bayou - hence the name. While only 22 bunkers are on the course, water is in play on 12 holes, while ever-present winds add to the challenge. The daily fees (with cart) are $27 on Mondays through Thursdays, then $30 on Fridays, weekends, and holidays.

This course is even better after an overhaul. Greens have been revamped and are much more challenging now.
Unfortunately, as most public (inexpensive) courses, the players don't respect the course. I end up repairing at least 4 pitch marks on each green. When it is wet/cart path only, I see players driving all over the fairways. One 4 some got bogged down, ended up pushing their carts out of the bog and tore up the grass.
