While the club's origins date as far back as 1861, they moved to this location in 1971, with a course designed by Ellis Maples and Ed Seay. Today, the club includes a new, 40-bay practice range and a short-game practice area designed by architect Bill Bergin. The club hosted local qualifying for the 2010 U.S. Open.

While this is a private club, they do host fundraising / goodwill tournaments with advance arrangements.
