VLC is a private, members-only club located about 20 minutes south of Nashville and offers two courses designed by notable architect Bob Cupp and 1992 U.S. Open champion Tom Kite. Although the club has existed only since 1992, they have hosted a long string of amateur, collegiate, and professional tournaments and events, including:

▪ Vince Gill and Amy Grant's LPGA tournament (2000-2006)
▪ USGA Girls Junior Championship (1997)
▪ SEC Women's Championship (2006)
▪ Tennessee State Open (1993-1996)
▪ USGA men's Senior Open qualifying
▪ SGA Southern Amateur qualifying
