The second of the five Bear Trace courses to open, Harrison Bay is one of those rare Jack Nicklaus designs that is open to the public, located approximately 20 minutes north of downtown Chattanooga. The course runs through mature parkland and was designed with water conservation, reduced chemical use, and habitat and wildlife management in mind. In fact, the course has been certified by Audubon International.
The course itself features Bermuda fairways lined with pines and hardwoods, with water on twelve holes. Most greens are open in front, which makes the course more user-friendly for high-handicap players and allows run-up shots, while the fairway and green-side bunkers fit Nicklaus' usual design.

A great course for the money. I will play it everytime I am in the area. It is a little challenging to get to, but worth the effort.

great TN trail course! first time out and it was muddy due to rains, but playable and most enjoyable. A challenge for high handicappers, but still a great course. Love it and will return as often as possible.

Best value in the Chattanooga area. This course is gorgeous and inviting with ample landing areas, but it isn't a pushover. There are plenty of challenges around the course.
