Nice course, staff very friendly. I liked the mixture of short par 4's and 5's. #18 was a lot of fun, but find the fairway, the layout of the hole is right in front of you. I'd play it again. Can get windy.

From the time we drove thru the gate i got the feeling it was going to be a great day. From the putting Green to the driving range that were in mint conditions . Not manny driving ranges offer rangefinder at the driving range so you can get dialed in on your distances. From the cart path to the desert scape it was absolutely pristine none better in San diego County Public/private or otherwise. Well worth the trip.

My first experience at the course was good overall considering we caught it on a very windy day making it much more difficult than it would otherwise be. The exceptionally wide fairways make it very user friendly if you pick a tee according to your ability. It is in beautiful condition throughout. I would not want to pay their rack rate even for a course in this condition. But, if you find a deal do not miss it. I hope you are lucky and don't have the windy conditions I had. I think it might blow here a lot. Pace of play was 4 hours.

This will be a course that I will play yearly. The city itself is a one bar town, but the course looks good, play fair and is well worth the drive. Go online . check the offers & go. You will be a fan too.

What a gem!!!! The course had fallen on hard times during the recession but is clean and pristine. The design is challenging but fair, scenic vistas everywhere. The greens roll true - pick the line and trust it. They are also firm - you must hit short of the hole or with spin. The fairways are generous and rough that challenges you but is not penal. My favorite hole is #11 - downhilll par 5 that played into a breeze today. A stream runs down the left side all the way to the green culminating in a waterfall spilling into a lake left of the green. Tiered green that requires you hit to the right spot. There are LOTS of bunkers, but they are strategically placed and (unlike a lot courses I've played this year, even upscale courses) they have plenty of sand in them! Outstanding dirivng range where they tell you the actual distance to flags based on where they move the set-ups. Bar and restaurant serve delicious food. Staff is very accomodating. It is a ways out but well worth the drive! Several reasonable places to stay very close by. Wish I had stayed the weekend.
