The southeastern-most golf course in South Dakota, Dakota Dunes runs through riverside dunes and deeply forested terrain within a planned residential community along the Missouri River, just northwest of Sioux City, Iowa. Designed by Erik Larsen of Arnold Palmer's golf architecture firm, Dakota Dunes is also known for having previously hosted an annual Nationwide Tour event. The course has been often been rated the best in the state by various golf publications.
