This course is located in the mountains, but the terrain is fairly flat. The perimeter of the course is extremely wooded. The only hazards, other than dogleg fairways, are the large trees that can alter your shots. The greens are well-maintained.

South Mountain used to be a great little 9 hole course to sneak off to in the Chambersburg area. It has gone through some hard times lately, I think becasue of a change of ownership.
When it gets rain, it is a fun little track. It is short, but lush. Certainly not a place to travel to, but if you're in the area it can be a good change up.
