This is a course, I hadn't set foot on, since 1961! Arnold Palmer & Gary Player, had a show, called Challenge Golf, and they filmed a show there! Needless, to say, Pauma Valley looks, very different, today! The homes and trees, that line, the fairways, makes it far more confining, than it was, then. It's a great layout, which we played, from the whites (6400yds), a lot of the north San Diego county courses, from the Blues, aren't 6400yds! For me, to get a chance, to play there, was a once in a lifetime, opportunity, that I dared not pass up (I was a little nervous about it)! A great time, was had, by all, by the way. Oh! also, that weekend, years ago, that I watched Palmer & Player, they were challenged by a young pro named Jack Nicklaus and a seasoned pro, named Mike Souchak. Palmer and Player won, as I recall!

Beautiful course, long tee boxes, large greens with undulations and back nine more difficult than front by several shots.
