This course dates to 1924 and a design by George Thomas and William P. Bell, although modern-day architect Todd Eckenrode oversaw an update of the course in 2013. Work included improved bunkers, new chipping areas on each hole, and some reconstructed and expanded green complexes.

The non-resident non-member walking rate is $235 Mondays through Fridays. Palos Verdes Estate residents who are non-members pay $100 on Mondays through Thursdays, then $115 on Fridays, weekends, and holidays (carts are $16). The club will also host outside group and charity golf events with prior arrangement.
