Concord Country Club
1601 Wilmington Pike
West Chester, PA 19382, United States

Concord Country Club is located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania near the intersection of US 1 and US 202. The first golf club on the site was a nine hole course called the Brinton Lake Club. In 1927 the course was expanded to 18 holes under the direction of William S. Flynn and became known as Concord Country Club. During the early years, the Philadelphia PGA Championship was held at Concord twice. Due to financial problems, the members sold the Club to Wilmington Country Club in 1946 and prospective members for that club became Concord members until their name came up on the Wilmington waiting list. The Club was sold in 1958 to a developer. In 1960, the latter sold it to Lamont Dupont Copeland who had the desire and resources to make improvements to the club including a new clubhouse and swimming pool. In 1974, a piece of the property was sold off and architect Geoffrey Cornish was brought in to renovate the course, adding five new holes and remodeling some of the existing ones. The members purchased the Club in 1997 and began a program aimed at achieving its goal of becoming one of the premier country clubs in the area.

Played on a Monday as a family member of a worker. We had the whole course to ourselves. Course was in immaculate condition. Now I know why the Pros play so well. The courses are amazing. Not a bad lie anywhere. Hard to rate it bad. I played pretty well for first time there. Hoping to play again before this year is over.
