This private club formed in 1922, with architect Max Behr designing the first nine holes that opened in June of 1924, while the second nine debuted the following year. In 1934, following a wildfire and a disastrous flood, William Bell Sr. was brought in to updated the course design. Then in 2008, architect Brian Curley was brought in to oversee a redesign, which included replacement of the antiquated irrigation syste; the redesign debuted in May of 2009. Over the years, the club has hosted PGA and LPGA events.
