Formerly known as St. Clair River Country Club, this club opened with nine holes designed by Fred Langley in 1917. When the club leased (and later purchased) 50 adjacent acres, the club retained Donald Ross for an 18-hole design. Since then, the club has added bunkers, irrigation, and apple trees, and has seen several changes of ownership.
