This is a challenging layout. The front nine is considerably tougher than the back. One of my personal beefs is that many of the fairways are raised and a ball near the edge tends to trundle down the slope into trouble or a bad lie.

Maintenance is good. Staff is polite. Pace can be an issue as the course is tough and often the people playing there have a hard time scoring low enough to not slow things down.

Very nice track... Gives you the Northern Michigan feel and scenery. The course is hilly. The greens are fast and dynamic.

Outstanding track! Challenging but fair. Course staff friendly, and observed tee boxes being repaired by grounds crew. (don't see that very often anymore)Pace of play was great, but played after a rain shower, so most had quit or cabcelled. If there was any negative, it was cart path only, but I will trade that for the quality of the fairways anyday.

Overall course was in good shape. Greens were well maintained. Downside is that round took over 5 hours - part of problem is that a lot of the fairways are blocked for carts and the par 3 9th (190 yards from whites) is mostly carry and no drop zone. Very few flat shots. Would play again.

In incredibly poor shape. I used to look forward to playing there but the course has gone down hill fast. There are more weeds than grass in the fairways and the greens are sandy and poorly maintained. We won't be going back.

Driving range was overcrowded and there was an entire section closed. 15 minute wait to hit a bucket of balls.

A great course, best in the area I have played as it seems secluded like up north courses and is in great condition. Very difficult front 9 though. Cannot spray the ball!
