Detwiler Park Golf Course
4001 N Summit St
Toledo, OH 43611-3066, United States

419.726.9353
Detwiler Park was one of the first designs by well-known architect Arthur Hills; this par-71, parkland-style layout opened in 1972. Owned by the City of Toledo, this course hosts the annual Toledo Amateur Championship and features contoured fairways playing around several water hazards. It is located about ten minutes from downtown Toledo, with easy access from I-75, I-280 and the Ohio Turnpike.

Since the course is adjacent to Lake Erie, knowing how to play well in the wind is important here. The course starts and finishes with birdie possibilities on reachable par-5s.

Rates vary by season and are posted on the course's web site. The course has also made special accommodations for physically-disabled golfers; in fact, all municipal courses have have ADA-compliant policies in place.

The course has gone bad, new management, American golf ran it for years and took care of it. Fish from South Toledo now runs it, T's are horrible, Greens are hard to get a decent roll. What a shame for such a great old course.
