Architect Ron Fream routed this course over former cotton and vegetable fields and an almond orchard; he created many swales and undulations over terrain would otherwise be flat. Over 200 of those mature almond trees were saved and replanted to blend in within the golf course and mingle with Canary Island pines and California redwoods.

Nice course but can be slow if there are allot of players

This could be a very nice course, but the only thing that was green on the entire coarse was the greens, and that looked spray painted too. It was like playing on a hay field. Other than that, the course was great! Challenging wholes, there are a lot of contours on the greens, so you actually have to think where on the green you want to land vs just getting on the green as I normally do. I picked up the speed on the greens rather quickly, so I was happy with that. The course is fine, but not worth it at the $55 price point on the weekends. Luckily I got a discount for $37 on golfnow.com

*Update* I did want to add that 18 is surrounded by water, which makes the playability really fun trying to stick the green on that hole.

Left unfulfilled want to play it again. Great staff, course in great shape but very busy and slooow. Oh yes and the Mud hens, so many.
