This is a 9-hole 3149-yard private golf course designed by Donald Ross (ca. 1921). The design makes use of the natural hilly topography of southeastern Ohio and has bent grass tees, fairways, and greens. Trees come into play on every hole and water comes into play on several holes. The signature hole is No. 3, 408 yard, par 4, dogleg left. The course is challenging with a slope rating of 127.

The course has nine greens with tees providing quite different approaches to one of the par 3 greens and moderately different approaches on a couple of the par 4 greens. An 18 hole round is made out of a combination of 18 different tees for approaching the nine greens. The men's standard tees are designated as the white and blue tees. The standard men's 18 holes is the combination of the white tees as the "Front nine (OUT)" and the blue tees as the "Back nine (IN)" with a total length of 6280 yds. and combined RATING of 69.5 and SLOPE of 127.
