Souris Valley Golf Course
2400 14th Ave SW
Minot, ND 58701, United States

701.838.4189
This 18-hole course is owned and operated by the Minot Park District, and boasts North Dakota's first "First Tee" facility with the addition of the nearby Jack Hoeven Wee Links, at 900 Forest Rd. After tremendous damage in the Souris River flood of 2011, the course is back in business, including a redesigned signature 8th hole, which is fronted by the Mouse River.

Against considerable competition, Souris Valley GC is currently ranked the fourth-best public-access course in North Dakota by Golfweek Magazine.

The standard daily fee is $26; carts are $28. Junior, senior, and 9-hole rates are available, as are season passes.

I played it with my son in law. It was a nice course still recovering from "The Flood". Could use some TLC.

I played this course in July '09 and would NEVER play this course again. I am from ND, now living in Minneapolis. We had come back to visit family and friends and I thought that it would be nice to play 18 with my 2 brothers and a friend in Minot. We are not scratch players but know how to play. My friend from Minot is a total non-golfer and we knew that we would bend the rules for him to keep the game moving. I was hoping for an enjoyable morning with some relaxing golf and that is NOT what we got.
We had a 7AM tee time so we could try to get our game completed early and not play during the busier time of the day. After completing the first hole we paused on the second tee to let a faster group behind us play thru. Because of this the course ranger followed us from hole 2 thru hole 6 because they wanted to make sure we were not going to slow people down. I know because I confronted the ranger and directly asked why he was following us. It was completely distracting and all 4 members of our group commented at different times that they felt we were being followed. We did not notice the ranger following any other groups. Also after completing the front nine we stop at the clubhouse for refreshments and restroom breaks and before we even entered the building we were told that we were playing too slow (2hr 15min front nine) and that we needed to keep going so that we would not slow the groups behind us. The entire 18 hole we did not see any groups that were waiting behind us and no one asked if they could play thru. I am returning to golf after many years off but I understand that a 2hr 15min (front 9) is about what you should expect from novice players.
My whole group was VERY upset with the blatant harassment during our front 9 and it made the back nine more of a chore then a game. I was glad to play 18 with my family and friend but if I had known then what I know now, I would have choice ANY other golf course in Minot. The management made us feel more like an assembly line then a golf game. GOLFERS BEWARE!
