This venerable northwoods layout debuted in 1922 with nine quickly-constructed (in 40 days!) holes, although teaching professional Sam Balfore oversaw some design changes in 1930. In 1967, then-teaching pro Ernie Tardiff designed and oversaw construction of the second nine, including irrigation of the course. Since then, a variety of changes to the course have been undertaken.

The walking rates here are $35 weekdays and $40 weekends (carts are $16). Twilight and 9-hole rates are also available.
