Summit Golf Club
31286 Highway 19 Blvd
Cannon Falls, MN 55009-7150, United States

One of the chief features at Summit GC is the elevation changes -- as much as 110 feet in places. A par-3 course is also available here, where kids 16 and under play for only $2 when accompanied by an adult.

The course lies just west of Cannon Falls, 20 minutes south of Saint Paul and about 45 minutes north of Rochester. Carts are not required, but given the 18-hole course's elevation changes, it is recommended for some players.

Great staff. You can scoot here (my average playing time as a single is 2.5-3.0 hrs for 18 in a cart). Course is in great shape. Greens are challenging but uber-readable (as seen from behind the cup). There are nine moderately challenging holes and nine very difficult holes (#3 - #5 on front; #12 - #15 and #17 - #18 on back side). Front nine an easy walk, back is brutal to walk with huge elevation changes on or in transition to #13-#18. Merits the 4-star Golf Digest rating. A great "steady diet" course that reasonably challenges and improves your play.

Beautiful course. Finished in under 4 hours with a 4 some on a Saturday. Only downside is no clubhouse. Had a rain delay and there were only 4 chairs in the clubhouse and food is limited to chips and dogs.
