Clarence Zufall designed and opened Lakeview Public GC with nine holes in 1957. In 1967, the members purchased and incorporated the course, changing the name to Rose Lake Golf Club, Inc. Joel Goldstrand and Ron Bloom provided the initial design for a second nine, which opened on July 11, 1987.
Departing from conventional practice, the course owners decided to make the middle tees red and the forward tees white.
