Quaker Meadows Golf Club
826 N Green St
Morganton, NC 28655-5610, United States

828-437-2677
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is one of western North Carolina's most played golf courses. Designed by Russell Breeden this 18 hole golf course is a treasure. With Bermuda fairways and bent grass greens the well placed bunkers on this course offer golfers a challenge to reach the large well defined sloping greens. The course was opened in 1968, and has been a mainstay in the Burke County area ever since. The course itself is considered by many to be hallowed ground, due to the fact that the " Over The Mountain Boys " met here under the Council Oak before marching to Kings Mountain, resulting in making our nation a reality.

this course has seen a complete turn around since the last time i played it several years ago. the maintenace is now top notch and is on par with any other top notch golf course in this area. the greens were in beautiful shape all summer long and the fairways and rough were maintained in very good condition. Price is somewhat steep but they do run specials throughout the week. Someone please tell skycaddie to get out there and map this course. Its been on my requested list for two years now and its kind of sad when i have to use a free app on my phone when i play here considering i purchased a $300 gps unit to use instead.
