La Costa Resort & Spa
2100 Costa del Mar Rd
Carlsbad, CA 92009-6823, United States

760.438.9111
This very popular resort is located outside San Diego and features two courses. The Champions course was a Dick Wilson design that was renovated and restored in 2011 by the architecture team of Damian Pascuzzo and Steve Pate, with Texas-based architect Jeffrey Brauer consulting.

The South Course will be renovated in 2013 by the same architecture team, but will play a little more friendly for higher-handicap players, while retaining Wilson's original routing, bunkering, and strategic lines of play.

Greens are a little hard

Very solid course.. lots of fairways and tricky holes.. greens always nice and seems to be two completely different 9's on the champions course. lots of hotel play so don't be in a hurry.

Overpriced Course. Greens were good but fairways were not so well maintained.... Much better to play at Carlsbad or Aviara instead

Very nice tracks. Second only to Aviara, Maderas, Torrey Pines, and The Crosby in this area.

Wow! Newly renovated so the greens are hard and fast but a fantastic course, would highly suggest!!

Bag drop with Valet parking works to drop the bag, but a time consuming hassell departing. Fairwas and greens in really great shape, but the rough is deep, thick, damp and will easely hide balls. Greens were smooth and fast. A good course to play, but over priced when compaired to Arrowood, Encidias Ranch, Steel Canyon,Mt. Woodson and others in San Diego county.

Not worth full price, but still a great track.

Great course they used to play Match Play Championship on. I played the South Course. Pace of play was good but I could see it being slow at certain times of year. Not sure it's quite worth the price of admission- but it's a real nice course.
