Bald Mountain is the Resort’s first course, originally built in 1968. It’s name comes from the rock faced cliffs towering over the course, however it will be the less prominent features that command your attention to score well here. With well guarded greens and tight fairways, golfers must be precise with their drives and approach shots. Bald Mountain is a true challenge in a lovely setting. The course is popular for all ages and abilities, and always receives high marks from Golf Digest readers.

The Apple Valley course is a Dan Maples creation, and is called one of the most beautiful mountain courses around by Golf Digest’s “places to play.” Apple Valley’s length provides a number of opportunities for spectacular drives. It's after the drive where golfers need to think clearly to score well. Well positioned bunkers and undulating terrain present a variety of tough shots to golfers of all abilities.

Nicely maintained and beautiful mountain views..

Bald Mountain Resort consist of 2 courses. Bald Mtn and Apple Valley. AV was the toughest of the two courses. Seemed like you never had a level lie on the course. Both courses were beautiful and well maintained. Off the tee you were really constricted as to open space prior to getting to the fairway. Once you made the fairway they opened up. The greens were Bent Grass and rolled fairly true. Find the mountain and everything rolls away from. When they tell you that, believe it. Even if the putt looks like it might run the other way...It doesn't.

Good:Beautiful course, great scenery. Very challenging course (water on 16 of 18 holes)
Bad: Too overzealous on pace of play. VERY pushy starters. Not senior friendly, does not allow handicap flags and was cart path only on 6 holes. Starters need to focus on customer service
