Designed by Joel Goldstrand, The Pines has been nationally recognized for its 27 holes, set among soft rolling hills and prime Minnesota forest. Goldstrand's design, which runs around natural hazards and includes five tees on every hole, is very highly regarded even among higher-handicap players. Golf Digest magazine once named The Pines Minnesota's only 5-star course.
Grand View Lodge's Garden course (a shorter 9-hole course) is also at this location and dates to the 1930s.
Rates shown below are peak season (May 21-Sep 19) and include powered cart, GPS, and range balls. Twilight and shoulder-season rates are all lower.

Landing areas off the tea are terrible. Way too many holes require 5 iron, 5 iron to keep the ball in play. Takes a lot of the fun away.
