This course is located on the campus of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and is named after Albert Earle Finley, who donated the money for construction of the final nine holes here in 1949. The course underwent a complete redesign by Tom Fazio in 1999, which kept many trees and some of the original corridors, while irrigation was added. UNC Finley Golf Course was chosen as the 39th best U.S. public golf course in Golf World's inaugural "Readers' Choice Awards."
The standard walking rate on Mondays through Thursdays is $50. On Fridays and weekends, the $80 rate includes a cart, although walking is permitted at a reduced rate after 1:30 p.m. Discounts are available for current UNC students, faculty, staff, donors, Rams Club members and members of the General Alumni Association. Reduced fees are also available for afternoon and twilight play. Walking is permitted.

UNC Finley is definitely worth playing especially if you can get a deal like my group got off of GroupGolfer. The course has a great layout and is in great shape. Some of the greens are huge so it is very easy to 3 putt some of them. If you get off the fairway, the rough is very penalizing and DEEP so be careful. I had a great time and would definitely go back there again!!

One of the best course in the triangle area. Fair and challenging at the same time. Green are fast but we have to remember that they use this course for the NCAA tournaments. The only drawback is the price. Similar pricing to the other two college campus golf course (Duke and Loonie Poole at NC State) but higher than other similar course in the area. Still a great play!

Beautiful course. Back nine layout is incredibly fun. You can score on this course, but approach placement is critical. Play to the wrong location and double is in play. Greens are fast but fair and true. Club house was undergoing renovation, so can't speak to hospitality.
