This course was previously known as "Majestic Pines". Duplin Country Club is nestled amongst tall southern longleaf pines that line the fairways, flanked by protected wetlands. With five sets of tees, avid and casual golfers alike are sure to find satisfaction in the challenge.

The course debuted with nine holes in 1962 and was expanded to 18 holes some years later with a design by John Kilpatrick.

  Bodin - 1/16/10
We drove over an hour to try this course out and found nothing but disappointment. There is a lot of potential with the way the course is set up and the layouts of the holes. The front nine is located inside of the surrounding houses while the back nine outlines the front nine. It seemed very short and the greens were very small. We also arrived at the clubhous around 0830 and had no problem teeing of without a tee time. What we did not know and soon found out after finishing the front nine was they had a tournament going on. We were held up on the 10th tee box for almost 15 minutes. We sat there and watch a foursome spend over five minutes searching for a ball in the woods about 150 yards from the teebox. After not being a ble to locate it they decided to go back to the original position and hit another 2 balls. All of this was happening and we were never offered to play through. All we were was a twosome. It would have been nice to have been told about the tournament prior to teeing off. We asked the proshop if we could defer the back nine (even though it looked much nicer than the front)and play the front but they had spread the tournaments player throughout the whole course. It was a disappointment morning for a decent looking course.
