Designed by Mike Morley, LNGC's 18 holes run along and over the Sauk River, with the first nine in a links style and the second nine in a prairie style. In a nod to authenticity, very few trees lie on the course. Water is in play on holes 9, 10, 15, and 18, while the Sauk River is in play on 6. New owners took over the course in December of 2008 and commenced a rebuilding of the greens, adding lights to the practice range, and began free lessons on Tuesdays. Memberships are also available here.

The course is located just east of U.S. Highway 71, a short distance south of the Sauk Centre exit from Interstate 94. It is one of two noteworthy courses in the area, the other being GreyStone GC, which was designed in part by 1996 Open Championship winner Tom Lehman.
