In addition to being the southwestern-most course in Minnesota, the nine-hole Luverne CC is the home course of retired LPGA star Jerilyn Britz, whose golf résumé includes the 1979 U.S. Women's Open Championship and a playoff victory over Nancy Lopez in the 1980 Mary Kay Classic.
