LPCC opened in 1927 with nine holes, and in 1997 the club added a second nine, designed by Don Herfort and Kevin Norby with a sort of prairie-links feel.
The first part of the course runs through tumbling hills amid many mature oak trees and is considered by some to be a "hidden gem." Walking saves a $15/person cart fee.
