This very notable private club was the host site of the New York City area's annual PGA Tour stop for several decades. In 2015, the club hosted the first Women's PGA Championship, co-organized by the LPGA and the PGA of America and which replaced the LPGA Championship.
Walter Travis designed both the West and South courses, which opened in 1922, although modern-day architect Ken Dye oversaw a partial redesign of the South course in 2000.

My friends and I had a great time playing this course for the first time. This is a difficult course and not for the faint of heart or those who become easily frustrated. We were going to play the blue tees, but were glad we went off from the whites. Our host who is a member of the club was the best...Thanks Kevin. If you ever get a chance to play Westchester Country Club (West Course) do it, it was well worth it.
