Tiger will not play the Arnold Palmer Invitational
By Torleif Sorenson on 3/13/15

Tiger Woods posted the following on his web site this afternoon:

I spoke to Arnold today and told him that I will not play in his tournament this year. I'm sorry I won't be in Orlando next week, but I know it will be a really successful event.

I've put in a lot of time and work on my game and I'm making strides, but like I've said, I won't return to the PGA TOUR until my game is tournament ready and I can compete at the highest level.

I hope to be ready for the Masters, and I will continue to work hard preparing for Augusta.

I want to thank everyone again for their support.
Woods has won eight times at Bay Hill. But so far, the 2015 season has been a disaster for Woods, who had his career-worst single-round score at Phoenix in February when he shot a second-round 82 and missed the cut. The very next week, he withdrew from the PGA Tour's San Diego stop with a back injury.

Just as well. If he had played I would have had to pick him for my fantasy golf team and I am sure that would have been a decision I would live to regret.
