Tiger will miss Honda, Doral
By Torleif Sorenson on 2/20/15
Golf Digest reported this morning via the Associated Press that Tiger Woods will not be playing the Honda Classic next week.

Now that he is ranked 66th in the Official World Golf Ranking, by missing the Honda Classic, this also means that Woods will not be eligible for the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral in two weeks' time.

ESPN reports that Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg, informed Honda Classic tournament staff not to expect Tiger there:

"He doesn't look at this with any time deadline right now. Does he expect to be at the Masters? Yes, of course. But that doesn't mean that is where he expects to debut. He just doesn't know where. I think Tiger would tell you he'd be shocked if he wasn't at the Masters.

"He's working at it. When that time comes, he's going to do some things in practice to replicate whatever he can under the gun and then put it in play."
Woods did say on his web site last week that he would not enter the Honda Classic unless he felt his game was ready.

Neither Woods nor Steinberg indicated if the 14-time major champion would enter the Valspar Championship outside Tampa. Also unknown is whether Woods will enter the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
