Tiger Hires New Swing Consultant
By Torleif Sorenson on 11/24/14
Tiger Woods has hired Dallas-area golf instructor Chris Como as his new swing consultant. The 35-year-old teaches at Gleaneagles Country Club in Plano, a northern suburb of Dallas.

Ever since Woods revealed this news, Como's web site has been so deluged with visitors that his hosting provider has been posting a "509 error" for exceeded bandwidth usage. (Such is life with Tiger Woods.)

Como was named one of America's best young instructors by Golf Digest and posted this article as an example of Como's interest in biomechanics:

Woods was introduced to Como by mutual friend Notah Begay — and probably chose Como as his swing consultant because of Como's deep interest in biomechanics. In fact, Como is working on a master's degree with Dr Young-Hoo Kwon who, according to Golf Digest, "is widely considered the foremost expert in golf biomechanics and 'sport injury mechanism.'" Dr. Kwon is a professor of kinesiology at Texas Woman's University in nearby Denton, Texas.

Given Tiger's career-long list of injuries and physical ailments, Como would appear to be a rather logical choice for the role of swing consultant.

Of course, we at SkyGolf 360 hasten to warn Tiger about the dangers of... well, business consulting, anyway:
