Tim Finchem's Fashion Police Blotter
By Torleif Sorenson on 3/24/15

PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem has turned loose his fashion police — for the most absurd reason.

This appears to be an outgrowth of a lawsuit filed by caddies last month against the PGA Tour. We seriously doubt most people would have noticed — let alone complained — about Duane Bock's salmon-color shorts. And quite frankly, they seem to match the red in the MasterCard logo plastered all over the caddie bibs.

We have this friendly little bit of advice for PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem: Sir, you are making yourself look like North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un and his mandatory haircut styles. You allow John Daly to wear those migraine-inducing golf pants, but then you excoriate Duane Bock for his unoffensive shorts? Seriously?

Shall we raise h-e-double hockey sticks about the job your hair colorist is doing, Commissioner?

Lay off the caddies, Mr. Finchem. Your rules-out-of-thin-air are embarrassing the PGA Tour in front of the very people you should be coveting: Future golf fans.

Have you seen an interesting golf story? Tell us about it!

Does seem just a tad picky, doesn't it?

Given the lawsuit that is ongoing, this was a really stupid move by the PGA Tour. I'm sure their lawyers are very unhappy about this incident.

Has anyone heard whether the PGA Tour has said anything publicly/officially about this incident? Seems unlikely. I'm sure they don't want their foot in their mouth any deeper.

Wonder if Duane Bock will be allowed on Tour next week after calling attention to their ridiculousness.
