The Minneapolis Skyway Open
By Torleif Sorenson on 3/5/15

The ninth edition of the annual Skyway Open begins on Friday at noon CST and runs through Sunday. The setting is rather unique; it takes place within the downtown Minneapolis Skyway System and is completely open to the public. Corporate and family ticket packages are available for the event, which takes place in three buildings — City Center, Gaviidae Common, and the iconic IDS Center.

The course always includes some inventive and creative hole complexes, although in the video above, KARE-DT meteorologist Belinda Jensen was not able to successfully negotiate the contraption that will serve as the third hole on this year's 15-hole course.

The event is a benefit for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities. Below is a video summary of the 2013 event, which offers better examples of how the tournament generally runs:

Registration is available online.
