The reigning U.S. Women's Open champion, Michelle Wie, will make a cameo appearance on CBS-TV's reconstituted crime drama, Hawaii 5-0.

As reported by Steve DiMegelio of USA Today, Wie was approached for the role last June at the Open by Daniel Dae Kim, who portrays detective lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly on the show. As a Hawaii native, Wie seemed a logical fit for the role:

"I had more dialogue than I had anticipated, which made me a little nervous. Overall, it was just a cool experience and it's always cool to do things that benefit Hawaii."

The episode is schedule to air Friday evening at 9:00 p.m. ET / 8:00 p.m. CT on the CBS television network.
