First Michelle Wie, now Lydia Ko By Torleif Sorenson on 12/3/14
Along with Seoul National University, and Yonsei University, Korea University is widely acknowledged as one of the three most prestigious universities in all of South Korea. Ko's agent, Michael Yim, says that she plans to study psychology. "She's determined. I don't think she will allow it to affect her game. She balanced school and golf this last year, getting all the schoolwork done she needed to graduate, and she'll do it again.Ko plans to follow in the proverbial path set by Michelle Wie (Stanford 2012, B.A. Communications) and So Yeon Ryu (Yonsei University 2013, Sports Business). Ko was born in Seoul, but moved with her family to New Zealand just a few years later and holds New Zealand citizenship. She began playing golf at age 5, when her mother brought her into the pro shop at Pupuke Golf Club outside Auckland. Have you seen an interesting golf story? Tell us about it!
