The Great Bucyrus Golf Ball Drop
By Torleif Sorenson on 10/15/14
One of the most hilarious and side-splitting moments in U.S. television situation comedy history was the WKRP in Cincinnati episode "Turkeys Away." And while no animals were harmed in this incident, another bunch of Ohioans decided to do a fun event involving falling objects.

Specifically, the Golf Club of Bucyrus hosted a golf-ball drop for the second year in a row on Tuesday afternoon:

The object is pretty simple: The three balls closest to the hole win the three cash prizes. The pellet chosen by the Bucyrus middle school principal went into the jar, netting him a $300 prize.

SkyGolf members, what is the most creative sort of fundraising contest involving golf that you've ever seen?
